For me, the name "Trellia" originated from the not-so-well-known Sega Genesis Game,'Ecco: The Tides of Time'. Trellia is a beautiful dolphin from one possible future who travels to the past to take the dolphin hero of the game, Ecco, to her time.
Eventually, I created an anthropomorphic Arctic fox character named Trellia Windemere. She was originally intended to be a fan character for the Sonic the Hedgehog universe, first as a love interest to Knuckles the Echidna (Way before the wonderful Julie-Su was introduced into the canon. *grin*), and subsequently as a love interest for Prince Elias, Sally's sexy, estranged, older brother (Of course, he eventually married in the comic, so that ended that. *laugh*).
Much later, I realized that I could have much more fun with my original characters by placing them in actual creations of my own, so Trellia since been integrated in some of my original story ideas and she may officially see the light of day if I ever get published or, god willing, get into directing animated films.
*cough* So yeah. Rather long, not-too-interesting story there. As for the "chan", which I realize is a very overused suffix for anime nerds such as myself, I tried to go as simply "Trellia", but that was already taken. So there. :P

Alas, no. I happened upon the image in that artist's gallery by accident while perusing her Gorillaz fan art. It was so sexy that I instantly fell in love with it. Now that you mention it, that lovely white lady-thing does look something like my Trellia.
I originally created her at least ten years ago now, and I've misplaced much of what I've done with her. :( Lately, I've been trying to recreate her appearance somewhat, though the personality has not changed over the years. I do have more recent images of her lying about, and I'll post them on Deviantart as soon as I can re-teach myself how to deal with my infernal scanner.
I really am so out of practice with my drawing skills, but I'm determined to get back in the swing of it. I love it so much. The images I was creating six and seven years ago were so wonderful. Who knows where my skills would be by now if I had only kept it up...
Yes, Sonic is a hedgehog. Knuckles (and Julie-Su, for that matter) are echidnas.
This is Prince Elias. He has only appeared in the Archie comics Sonic universe. XD

None of the things I have loved over the years has endured as long as 'Sonic the Hedgehog'. I've loved it since 1992 and still do.
