First Journal Entry! Wooo!

trelobitaI need to get into the swing of writing here! I've been so busy with work and classes that I've barely had time for anything recreational.
Well now, I'm taking a 9 day vacation from work AND classes which gives me time to catch up on many of the things I've been meaning to do all this time. Now's a good time to put something here. I don't exactly have anything interesting to post just yet... and I don't think anyone's even going to read this. But... *shrug*... meh... that's fine. Gotta start somewhere, yes?
To keep my sanity, I've spent every free moment indulging my current obsessions, the most prominent one proving to be 'Gorillaz'. I've had it bad for them for nearly a year now... I tend to obsess long and hard whenever I get into something. My previous hard-hitting obsession was 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'. That one lasted about a year as well and is still lingering somewhat. I never do quite fall out of interest with the things I adore even if they do go on the backburner for a while.
I've been writing a naughty little 'Gorillaz' story about 2D and Noodle for the past few months whenever I've had time. I've written fanfiction before, but it's been a long time since I've actually followed through with one the way I have this time. I've been a little apprehensive about this story, however, since I do worry that the majority of the fans will not approve of the age I've chosen to depict Noodle. Still, I hope that there are at least a few people out there who appreciate it and understand perhaps why I'm going through with it. It's coming down to it, too. I've gotten to the chapter where I can either choose to go through with my convictions, or wimp out and cut straight to the aftermath... O_O I think I WILL go through with it. If the folks over at DarkSideWonka have the guts to portray Charlie Bucket as young as they do, (Eleven? Twelve??) Noodle should be easy as an almost-fourteen-year-old.
It seems to me that lots of people adore Noodle at her current age but seem to be terrified to portray her as such simply because of the local age of consent laws. Noodle is a cartoon character! She is not a real person, and she is not even REMOTELY realistic. Considering all the things she has accomplished, I'd have trouble believing that she could be nineteen let alone thirteen!
Anyhoo... I better stop there. Don't want to cram in too much on the first entry. Now that I've gotten started, it should be easy to keep this up.
